What They Said
Client reviews
Lim Kai Shen
Retail owner, Petaling Jaya
"I had the Daylight Review done after my third year in business. I was not in trouble — I just felt like I had lost a clear view of where things were heading. The written summary they sent me was genuinely useful. Two of their suggestions I acted on within the month. I was a bit sceptical going in, but it was worth the time."

Nor Hafizah Ramli
F&B business, Shah Alam
"We used Considered Step Planning before opening a second outlet. I was worried we were moving too fast and not sure what questions to ask. The three sessions helped us slow down and think carefully. They did not tell us what to do — they laid out the options clearly and helped us think through each one. The budget outline was particularly useful."

David Tan Wei Ming
Manufacturing firm, Klang
"We engaged Suria Anggun for the Mature Practice Advisory when our team had grown to about thirty people and we were struggling with how decisions were being made. The process map they produced was eye-opening. A few things were obvious in hindsight — the kind you see clearly only when someone else draws them out."

Professional services, KL
"The Daylight Review was straightforward and not at all pushy. I appreciated that the consultant listened for a long time before saying anything. The suggestions were practical — not sweeping changes, just a few things to focus on. The follow-up note a few weeks later was a nice touch."

Distribution business, Subang
"We have used Suria Anggun twice — first for a planning engagement, then for the full advisory when we expanded. Both times the experience was calm and professional. They are not there to impress you; they are there to help you think. That is what we needed."

Faridah Zulkifli
Trading company, Selangor
"The Considered Step Planning engagement took a little longer to schedule than I expected, but once it started it was well-paced. The written plan they produced covered things I had not thought to include. Very thorough, and the check-in session afterwards was useful."

Case Studies
A closer look at three engagements
Case Study · Daylight Review
Small retail business, first review after three years of trading
The Situation
The owner had been running the business for three years and felt they were working harder without earning proportionally more. They had not looked at their cost structure since year one and were uncertain whether certain product lines were actually contributing margin or simply adding complexity.
What We Did
One session reviewing sales data, supplier costs, and daily routines. We mapped where time was being spent and which product lines were carrying weight. The written overview surfaced three areas worth their immediate attention and two they could stop worrying about.
What Changed
Two low-margin product lines were simplified. One supplier arrangement was renegotiated. Within three months, the owner reported that working hours had reduced slightly while net margin had improved. The clearer view was what made the difference.
"I knew something was off, but I did not know where to look. They showed me."
Case Study · Considered Step Planning
F&B business weighing a second location
The Situation
A Selangor restaurant had been trading steadily for four years and had an opportunity to take on a second outlet. The owner wanted to move quickly, but their spouse and business partner felt they needed to understand the financial exposure first.
What We Did
Three sessions over five weeks covering capacity, staffing implications, cash flow, and the realistic timeline for a second site to contribute positively. We set out three directions — proceed now, wait six months, or proceed with a different format — with a budget outline for each.
What Changed
They chose to proceed, but with a smaller footprint than originally planned. The decision was made with shared confidence between both partners. Eight months later, the second outlet was trading at around 70% of the first — within their expected range.
"We needed a way to make this decision together. The sessions gave us that."
Case Study · Mature Practice Advisory
Manufacturing firm navigating a leadership transition
The Situation
The founding director of a Klang manufacturing firm was planning to step back within two years and pass operational responsibility to a second-tier management team. The team was capable but the company's decision-making processes had never been formally documented.
What We Did
A ten-week review covering how decisions moved through the organisation, where reporting was informal, and which processes would need to be made explicit before a transition could succeed. The process map covered five operational areas and flagged four where clarity was most needed.
What Changed
Over the following year, the management team used the process map to formalise two key areas of reporting and clarify decision authority in a third. The director's step-back, which happened in stages, was smoother than anyone had expected.
"The map showed what was in my head but never written down. That was the real value."
